A Quick One For Juneteenth

For us folks who aren’t BIPOC and are part of the racism and patriarchy and white problem that needs a Final Solution, today is also Father’s Day (purely a white concept according to the Left) so this’ll be quick because I have fathers to get to.

What Is Juneteenth?

It’s when Union troops landed in Galveston, TX during the cleanup phase of the Civil War and declared slaves in Texas to be free, which was the last ex-Confederate territory to have that happen. Slavery didn’t end in Texas that day; it still needed routing. Slavery was still legal in the Union. Slavery was still practiced in many parts of the Union. In fact, this day is hardly a blip on the radar of Civil Rights- the Confederates were already beaten so “slavery in the Confederacy” was academic since the Confederacy surrendered already and was being dissolved. These Confederate holdings were being reintegrated into the United States where slavery was still perfectly legal. Slavery itself was still practiced for the next 6 months or so, right on up until December 6, 1865 when the 13th Amendment was finally and thankfully made part of the Constitution.

So… Why Did They Make A Federal Case Out Of Juneteenth?

Good question. Democrats needed to look like they did something for Blacks, so with inflation starting up (boy, that “temporary” line didn’t age well!) and affecting all those poor families (according to Democrats, poverty is a Black thing so I’m just using their terms here) in crime-ridden hellholes of the Left’s making, they needed an easy victory. Declaring a national holiday is one of the most effortless things a politician can do that marks will think is significant. No laws, no legislation, neither side loses anything from creating it, everyone loves a holiday. And a holiday in the summer to boot!

Now, why did they pick Juneteenth instead of… oh I don’t know… maybe December 6 when the 13th Amendment became the law of the land? Three factors come into play here. Look at how Democrats frame “Juneteenth”: “The day slavery ended”. Sounds catchy, right? Except it’s a lie as I mentioned above. But, by saying it’s the day slavery ended, Democrats get to smear Texas by making them look like the last holdouts on slavery. That isn’t the case. Noteworthy among the last holdouts are California (progressive stronghold), Oregon (progressive stronghold), Delaware (Joe Biden’s home state), and New Jersey (home of a popular Democrat governor). So of course Democrats couldn’t do that, lest they bring up a painful memory about the home state of the Democrat President and two of the most Democrat states in the country. This holiday is a feel-good measure for Democrats and a smear tactic against Republicans, so you can’t include actual Democrat territories in it! Another item at play is proximity to the 4th of July. Look at what they’re saying- Juneteenth is the real Independence Day, forget the 4th of July. Democrats are against anything proAmerica, so this just lets them attack the 4th of July as well and try to supplant that with a date that’s nearby. It’s a three-for-one special: Democrats deflect scorn from their unpopular President’s home state and Progressive strongholds while heaping it upon one of the strongholds of their archnemesis (remember- hating a democratically-elected Republican made you a patriot but hating a democratically-elected Democrat means you’re against democracy according to the Left), they also get to attack a major holiday most Americans rally behind thus spreading hatred and dividing us while increasing hatred for the country they themselves have an irrational hatred for, all while looking like they care about civil rights when in actuality NOTHING changed so they can go back to the well of civil rights issues in the future when they need votes. Perfect!

Meanwhile, very few people know the date when slavery was finally banned for the entire United States, a date that deserves a holiday that it will never get because Democrats want things to attack their opponents with, without a friendly-fire incident.
